Chahinkapa Zoo is handicap accessible. Wheelchairs are available in limited numbers at the admissions booth for no additional charge.
For the safety of our guests’ self-propelled or motorized riding conveyances such as skateboards, skates, shoes with wheels, in-line skates, scooters, cycles, big wheels, electric-powered toys/riding toys, etc. are not allowed.
Bringing items not allowed in the Zoo for the safety of our animals are items such as balloons, confetti, flags, flashlights, glass bottles or containers, horns, laser pens, loud toys, etc. Chahinkapa Zoo reserves the right to refuse any other items that Zoo staff advises may cause distress to the animals in the Zoo.
No pets are permitted on the Zoo grounds. Service animals are permitted. Exotic species, therapy, or emotional-support animals are not permitted at Chahinkapa Zoo. Guests that have service animals are asked to alert the staff at the admissions window that they are here with a service animal.
Chahinkapa Zoo is a non-smoking facility. There is no smoking allowed on Zoo grounds.
All visitors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Chahinkapa Zoo accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, and check.
Chahinkapa Zoo allows guests to leave and re-enter by receiving a hand stamp from the admissions booth for same-day re-entry only.
Restrooms are located behind the gift shop and near the campground. All restrooms are equipped with changing tables.
Chahinkapa Zoo has a nursing station available by the rhino exhibit.
Inside the gift shop, we have grab-and-go concessions available for purchase.
Chahinkapa Zoo does not allow outside food or drink in the Zoo.
Chahinkapa Zoo asks that visitors do not feed the animals other than animal feed from the coin feeders. Animal feed is for the petting zoo and ducks only.
For any lost items please visit the admissions booth to see if the item has been turned in or to report a missing item.
Depending on weather temperature and conditions not all animals may be outside in their enclosure. They may be inside their dens with the option to go outside.
Zoo is closed for the season. Thank you for a great season!
